What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a Chinese system of natural healing that is 5,000 years old. It is concerned with balancing the energy flow to the various organs, glands and tissues of the body. It is based on the premise that most diseases are the result of malfunction due to disrupted nerve flow in the body.
What is the Chinese definition of health?
All parts of the body functioning normally. An interruption in the transmission of energy flow from the brain to the 4 trillion body parts, will inevitably cause organ malfunction, disease, pain, and suffering .
Where does nerve flow occur?
In the brain, the spinal column and in the 12 channels of energy flow which are located throughout the body, just beneath the skin surface.
How can the nerve flow be interrupted?
From physical or emotional stress, and from misalignments of the spinal vertebrae .
How do we assess a disturbance in the nerve flow?

How is the acupuncture done, and does it hurt?
In our office we useless a special micro-current electrical stimulation machine which is designed specifically for acupuncture. It is quite painless and very effective.
What conditions are commonly treated by acupuncture?
Over two hundred conditions can be treated with acupuncture. In our office we concentrate mainly on the conditions that we see the most in our office: Headaches, back and neck pain, tendinitis, neuralgias, rheumatism, shoulder/knee/ankle/wrist pain, allergies, weight loss, sports performance, ulcers, blood pressure, arthritis, female disorders, sinus problems, and of coarse wellness balancing.
What is the average rate of success using acupuncture?
On average, about 8 out of 10 patients accepted for acupuncture care respond favorably. This success rate can be negatively effected by advanced age, or irreversible tissue damage.
Are spinal adjusting treatments necessary with acupuncture?
Patients who do both have much better odds of success. As mentioned above, if there is interruption of nerve flow at the spinal vertebrae due to misalignment, that needs to be addressed to maximize the effectiveness of the acupuncture treatment.
